Family restores focus and confidence using BrainCore Therapy instead of traditional medication
Lisa Floden has been searching for answers for more than a decade.
The struggle with auditory and visual processing began for her two children, Paloma and Erik, many years ago. In 7th grade, Erik was prescribed focus medication that improved his ability to pay attention. However, “he hated how it made him feel,” adds Floden.
Erik stayed on that medication until his sophomore year at Lipscomb University in Nashville. There, he did his first round of neurofeedback, a type of therapy that improves and balances brainwaves.
Floden researched similar treatment options in Chattanooga, and discovered Tri-State Clinic North Chiropractic. In 2016, Erik had his first BrainCore session with Dr. Amanda B. Austin.
“I just saw such significant improvement. Executive function improved, and ADD symptoms went away,” she says.
It was then that Floden wondered if she could also benefit from BrainCore.
“When you see the struggles your kids have, you realize some of the cognitive stuff that you’ve had as well,” she says.
Last fall, Lisa had her first chiropractic session. A few months ago, she started BrainCore therapy. Floden says BrainCore has changed her family for the better.
“I am a lot less distracted and my focus and ability to multitask has greatly improved since starting BrainCore.”
Floden feared that her son would not graduate from college, but last month she cheered as Erik graduated from Lipscomb University. Dr. Austin says by balancing dysregulated brainwaves, symptoms may improve or completely go away.
“It really can restore function. You can do something positive and really make a big difference,” says Floden.
